Note: This ground is in the same park as Highgate CC where we also play, so directions
are almost identical.
If you are driving, the entrance to the park is next to 169 Park Rd. It's opposite Park Avenue South
(which is not signposted), so you will have to keep an eye out for this. Once through
the entrance, the ground is directly on the right hand side, signposted North
Middlesex Cricket Club.
Tip: There are 6 cricket grounds in the
immediate vicinity, so make sure you print out this map, as it can be a bit
confusing if you just turn up with no idea which ground it is. You'll soon get
sick of stopping and asking at each pitch!
STEVE'S DRIVING ROUTE
I will do a pick up at the following stations. Let me know before Sun.
12:30 South Kenton (Bakerloo Line)
12:35 Wembley Park (Metropolitan Line,
Jubilee Line)
12:55 Highgate
(Northern Line)
13:00 Arrive at ground
UNDERGROUND TRAINS
Highgate (Northern Line,
Zone 3) CLOSED THIS WEEKEND
Unfortunately the Northern line from Kennington to High Barnett is closed this
weekend, which means that Highgate station is out of action. There is no other
tube line within walking distance, so we have devised an alternate plan for
those travelling on public transport to the game.
Tim Hardy lives in Primrose Hill (posh area off Regents Park), and will be
driving past Chalk Farm station on his way to the ground, which is on the other
Northern Line that is still running on Sun. He has kindly volunteered himself
and his lovely bride Angie to pick up any Nepo's from Chalk Farm station at
12:30pm for the short drive to Highgate. He can take 4 people in both cars if
no-one has coffin sized cricket kits, or 3 people if big tits
kits are in play.
Get in contact with Tim on:
t_hardy@btconnect.com or via text on: 07590 523 468 to arrange. Do this
sooner rather then later, as he will only take one car to the game if there are
not enough for 2 cars (ie) contacting Tim on Sun morning asking for a lift won't
work.
Alternatively, you can meet my van at one of my pickup points above, or we also
have other cars coming from different parts of London.
If you are not driving, could you please let me know how you are getting to the
ground so I don't get any text messages on Sun lunchtime informing me Highgate
station is closed!
